Emmett Technique:
A unique body therapy technique created by Ross Emmett who is a very gifted and experienced remedial practitioner based in Queensland, Australia.
The technique uses the application of light pressure, usually with the middle fingers, at specific points and in sequences that enables muscle groups to gently release.
Emmett can be used as a treatment on it's own and is a very effective treatment to ease pain and discomfort and may benefit a range of other conditions. The technique also works beautifully alongside a range of other therapies, including the Bowen Technique, complementing and enhancing the results.
The use of this therapy will be guided by the specific needs of the individual client, through assessment and observation. Treatments are usually carried out fully clothed, although tight clothing may have to be loosened. [e.g. it's not a good idea to wear tight jeans for treatment as it is difficult to work through thick denim, especially the seams]. Lighter, looser clothing is recommended. | |||||||
